Voyager Camps

For Ages 4-8

Voyager campers are grouped by co-ed by grade level. Voyager campers participate in each of the following activities daily.

 

Porpoises in Pool

 

Porpoises on pool-3 girls in a poolFuture Stars daily swim program provides individual attention for the non-swimmer as well as the advanced swimmer. In a caring and safe environment, Future Stars campers progress from the Guppy to the Shark level while mastering water adjustment skills, rotary breathing, arm movements and stroke refinement. Complete water safety is our goal as campers receive praise and confidence, as well as certificates and ribbons. Voyagers who complete Level IV (Sharks) are put to the test weekly with the Future Stars Swim Challenge and lifesaving instruction. Throughout the summer, campers develop at their own pace while our certified instructors emphasize the American Red Cross Standards.

Hidden talents emerge as all campers discover their creative abilities with musical instruments, skits, creative movement and camp songs. Campers and staff prepare weekly for talent presentations that are sure to bring smiles and laughs to one and all. The Talent Showcase promises a week of singing, dancing and becoming a star on stage.

 

 

Express Yourself!

Voyager campers will try their hand in a wide variety of thematic crafts and projects every day. Campers create their own age-appropriate masterpieces with an assortment of media including clay, paper-mache and plaster of paris. Campers will learn how to make their own jewelry, tie-dye shirts, build life size astronauts and design scenery and props for the Camp Extravaganza. All in all, the Future Stars Arts and Crafts program invites campers to freely express themselves in a fun and innovative way.

Future Stars campers will participate daily in a wide variety of age appropriate fun-filled events. Crazy Hat Day, Backwards Day, scavenger and treasure hunts, parachute play and Banana Day are just a few ways campers have fun and experience the special events of each week. Game segments will include new activities that teach social skills, decision making and good sportsmanship. Each week campers will be on a journey to build confidence and experience the joy of activity and interaction.


Mr. Wizard Visits Camp! infotainment in camp

Voyagers transform into young scientists as they enter our Future Stars science laboratory. Each scientist will discover more about our world through hands-on experiments involving electricity, magnetism and chemistry. Campers will also experiment with projects that incorporate weather and the preservation of our environment. With a summer filled with guest speakers from places such as The Franklin Institute, The Academy of Natural Sciences, The Rocket Man and Riverbend Environmental Education Center, our campers are sure to explore the world around us!

Catch Up With Computers Kid with a PC

Future Stars Voyagers begin with the computer basics in a creative learning environment that inspires growth and achievement. Our multiple activities combine learning and fun. Games and programs that build creativity and problem-solving techniques include: The Rugrats Movie Challenge, Dr. Seuss' Kindergarten, Arthur's Computer Adventure, and much more.

Future Stars offers to Four-year-old Voyagers the opportunity to be a part of our day camp program with the option of leaving at 1 p.m. Most Four-year-old campers participate in the full day program. Tout

With an age-appropriate personalized Voyager schedule, our youngest campers are encouraged to expand their horizons in a warm, nuturing atmosphere. They will embark on a musical journey during Sally's Sing Along and escape into a good book at Story Time, while still being able to enjoy a variety of the day camp session.
